Method
How INNERCODE calculates your chart. Every value on your reading is computed in code and is deterministic — the same birth details always produce the same chart.
The calculation engine
Your Four Pillars are calculated by a dedicated, version-pinned BaZi engine. INNERCODE never re-implements or overrides the underlying astronomy; it maps the engine's output into the chart you see.
True solar time
When you give a birth time, the clock time is corrected to true solar time using your birthplace's longitude, so the pillars reflect the real position of the sun rather than the civil clock. The birthplace's own timezone is always used — never your device's.
The day boundary
A day begins at midnight (00:00) local time. This is the convention used throughout your chart.
An unknown birth time
If you don't know your birth time, no Hour Pillar is created and none is interpreted. Nothing is guessed, and no time is inferred from anything else.
The visible Five Elements
The distribution counts the Heavenly Stem and the primary Earthly Branch of each visible pillar — eight positions with a known time, six without.
It is a simple visible count. It is not a judgment of element strength, balance, Day-Master strength, or favorable elements. Hidden stems are shown with each pillar but are excluded from this count.
Woman / Man / Skip
This choice affects only the Da Yun (luck-cycle) direction and an optional context line for the interpretation. It never changes your Four Pillars and is never inferred from anything else.
Skip calculates both conventions and only continues if they agree everywhere outside Da Yun; it then shows no Da Yun and sends no gender.
Da Yun
The ten-year luck cycles are shown for a chosen Woman or Man convention. The current cycle is marked from today's date only.
Interpretation
The chart is authoritative. The optional AI reflection explains only approved facts already present in your chart, each one cited, and it never calculates, corrects, or predicts.
